The Electronic Company Trading As FuturePoint Systems, is a wholly Australian company based on Queensland’s Gold Coast. It was established by founding Director Mark Pointing in 2005. FuturePoint Systems focuses on software development for all platforms; mobile devices, web applications, embedded systems, and microcontrollers. It is a small business operated by Mark
Prior to 2005 Mark gained extensive “hands on” experience and knowledge of the electricity supply industry, working for the South East Queensland Electricity Board (SEQEB) now known as Energex for over 10 years. This experience gave him invaluable knowledge of how equipment needs to be designed to perform in “real world” applications.
From 2005-2009 Mark developed a range of logging and diagnostic equipment including the Flexi-Logger, Volt-Logger and Safe-Logger. Which were distributed by Thew & McCann now known as the TMAC Group.
In November 2009 Mark was approached by the TMAC Group to become their Technical Manager. Amongst his many duties at TMAC, was the supervision of the Research & Development Department. His most notable accomplishment during this time was the “Peak Smart” Air-Conditioner Demand Management Controller which to date, is installed in over 100,000 Queensland homes.
In April 2014 after a successful 4.5 years with the TMAC Group, Mark’s ambition motivated him to look for new horizons. He decided to focus on his passion for design. Mark completed a Bachelors Degree in Software Development and began trading as FuturePoint Systems with his wife Bianca. While Bianca handles the day to day administration duties, Mark specialises in bringing ideas to life.
